Mechanical Department is established in the year of 2006. We provide an education that builds within students a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles, expands the reasoning, communication and problem solving abilities of students. The department has well qualified faculties to cater the academic and other kinds of students’ needs. Department possesses classrooms and laboratories as per AICTE norms and standards. We offer Interactive and effective learning environment to the students.

Programme Outcomes (PO)

PO1- Basic and Discipline specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the engineering problems.

PO2- Problem analysis: Identify and analyse well-defined engineering problems using codified standard methods.

PO3-Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or processes to meet specified needs.

 

PO4-Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests and measurements.

PO5-Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability, environment and ethical practices.

 

PO6-Project Management: Use engineering management principles individually, as a team member or a leader to manage projects and effectively communicate about well-defined engineering activities.

PSO-1   Student can apply program specific principles to design, fabrication operation or demonstration of basic mechanical system.

PSO-2   Plan and supervise manufacturing operation at a shop floor of machine tool based manufacturing industries.

  • Inverted metallurgical microscope with specimen.
  • Specimen polishing machine.
Thermal Engineering Lab has major equipment as below.

  • Two Stage Reciprocating Air Compressor Test Rig
  • Single Cylinder 4-Stroke Diesel Engine Test Rig
  • Four Cylinder 4-Stroke Petrol Engine Test Rig
  • Air Conditioner Window Type Test Rig

  • Universal vibration apparatus.
